The contour roughing-block toolpath is designed for roughing solid blocks of hard material such as steel. In contour roughing - block WorkNC automatically slices the part horizontally and calculates contours at each level. The user specifies how the cutter will enter the stock at each level by specifying a ramp angle, pre-drilled entry point, or a point outside of the part. The user also has control over how the cleanout cuts will be performed on each level: box cycle/one-way (any angle), lace/zig-zag (any angle), or spiral.
