The parallel roughing toolpath is designed for roughing a solid block in soft material (resin, foam, graphite, copper, wax). This toolpath is normally used with ball-end cutters which can machine in both an up and down direction. Parallel roughing is designed to work between an upper and lower level in Z, making one pass within each "band".
